Mesquite Information

The ever-growing resort destination of Mesquite is a desert paradise combining the best of small-town life with big-city attractions. Situated in the picturesque Virgin River Valley, Mesquite offers a majestic mountain backdrop and storybook sunsets. But Mesquite’s appeal doesn’t stop there. Visitors to the friendly desert community will find no shortage of things to do. From gambling and fine dining to championship golf and a selection of annual events, Mesquite has something for everyone.

For the outdoor enthusiast, Mesquite offers world-class mountain biking, ATVing and hiking trails, nature tours, a shooting range and more. Those looking for a peaceful retreat will appreciate Mesquite’s luxurious spas, while gamblers and golfers will find friendly casinos and spectacular greens. Mesquite is home to the Golf Channel’s The Big Break: Mesquite, an amateur competition among golfers with different backgrounds and different skill levels. They compete for an exemption into the 2008 Mayakoba Golf Classic, an Adams Golf endorsement contract and other cash and prizes. The sunny destination also hosts such popular annual events as the Mesquite Days Festival and the RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship.

Mesquite is an hour’s drive from fabulous Las Vegas. Visitors to Mesquite will find as much to do in town as out. It’s a short drive to natural wonders such as Valley of Fire State Park, Hoover Dam and Cathedral Gorge. Other attractions within a short drive include Lake Mead Recreation Area, Great Basin National Park and Zion National Park.
