Lava Hot Springs Information

Lava Hot Springs, Idaho is a picturesque year-round resort community located between Salt Lake City and Yellowstone National Park. Just 11 miles east of I-15, we are a favorite stop along the way to Jackson Hole and the Grand Tetons.

Come relax in our natural hot pools and swim, dive, and slide at our indoor and outdoor swimming pools. For a real blast, tube or kayak down the Portneuf river! We have trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding, ATVs, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling. Join us for wagon rides, a guided mountain tour, or a rodeo for a taste of the Old West. Fish on the Portneuf River or at a local trout pond, ski at nearby Pebble Creek, or enjoy a round of golf on Dempsey Ridge or Central Links golf course. On Main Street, you can play miniture golf or games at the local arcade, browse our Museum and Visitor’s Center, or shop for unique souvenirs, art, and gifts. At the end of the day, wind down with a luxurious massage or spend your evening playing billiards or bingo, singing karaoke, or sitting around the campfire roasting marshmallows. Enjoy a wide range of cuisine, from gourmet coffee, ice cream and candy to tasty Thai, Western, or traditional fare at one of our many restaurants. After a long, fun-filled day, relax at one of our comfortable hotels, cottage rentals, or Bed and Breakfasts, or camp out at one of our campgrounds or RV parks. Come for a vacation, or come to stay! There are homes, cabins, lots and acreage for sale.
