Great art, great restaurants, great surf. The city of Laguna Beach is a seaside village of 25,000-plus residents that includes hundreds of local working artists and unique gift shops. It has countless cultural opportunities including dozens of art and music events throughout the year, including the internationally acclaimed Pageant of the Masters.
Laguna also has an art museum and well-respected live stage theater. As for the beach scene, head to the south end of the beach (Thalia Street entrance) for the ultimate California surf setting, with teeny bikinis, salt-spray-blond hair, and sick (that means good) boards and riders cutting the curl.
