Chaweng Beach Information

Chaweng Beach is about a five km (3 mile) stretch of sand located on the eastern side of Koh Samui near the airport.



It has a reputation of being one of the best beaches on the island and is now a very popular tourist destination supported by a wide range of accommodation choices. One of the interesting aspects of Chaweng Beach is that due to its length is has many different areas, from the deeper waters in the southern and middle sections to the shallow waters protected by a reef to the north.

There are many tourist facilities along the beach, including dive shops, bars, restaurants and plenty of nightlife. It is a thriving atmosphere that serves as a busy backdrop to the tranquil waters along the beach itself.

Visitors can enjoy a massage on the beach or while away the hours swimming and relaxing. There are many vendors available that will supply food and cool drinks which makes Chaweng Beach an ideal relaxing holiday destination.
