In Switzerland, electricity is supplied at 220V / 50Hz. Power outlets and plugs are of the three round pin J-type, although some two pin plugs may be compatible. If you plan on using your own electrical equipment with a different plug configuration and/or voltage rating in Switzerland, you may require a plug adaptor and possibly a power convertor as well. These can be purchased at most duty free shops and some convenience stores and are sometimes available at the reception desk of hotels.
