Situated in Central Europe Slovenia lies in the eastern Alps with Croatia to the south, Austria to the north, Italy to the northwest and Hungary to the northeast. This country may be small but is comprised of varied terrain, ranging from beaches, rolling hills and magnificent snow-capped alps. Slovenia is an independent republic that has made a successful change from socialism to capitalism and is a proud role model for other nations.

This tiny country also offers the tourist a diverse experience of historic castles, Gothic churches, extraordinary palaces and many art nouveau buildings. Slovania is one of the greenest countries in the world due to more than half the country being covered in forest. Within the luxuriant landscape you will find glacial lakes, mountains and verdant farmlands. Slovania offers a smorgasbord of outdoor activities from hiking, mountaineering, paragliding, cycling and caving.

The people of Slovenia are also another of the country's great assets. They are genuine and welcoming and generally multilingual and broad-minded. If you are visiting the capital, Ljubljana, you will be surrounded by a youthful energy amongst the richly historical buildings. As you walk along the banks of the Ljubljana River you will have an endless choice of cafes, promenades and shops to choose from. This country is clean, fresh and natural making it a perfect holiday destination.
