Sandwiched between the Italian and the French Rivieras on the Mediterranean, Monte Carlo is something else. It's where you can find Ferraris parked on almost corner and luxury hotels line the streets. Monte Carlo is one of ten wards in Monaco and is easily the most well known - it's a favourite of celebrities, the wealthy and those who want to be seen.
Whether you have cash to burn or just want to glimpse how the other half lives in one of Europe's most lavish destinations, Monte Carlo is somewhere everyone should try to see at least once in their lives. From some of the world's finest suits to the ostentacious Grand Casino, Monte Carlo will surely dazzle. So get dressed in your (very) best outfit and strike out for some high stakes Roulette, luxuriate for a night in the Hotel de Paris, or just meander the gorgeous lanes and streets and bear witness to how life is lived in one of the worlds most renowned tax havens.
Even if conspicuous wealth and over the top luxuryare not for you, the magnificent surroundings and people watching opportunities afforded here will be something to remember. And if you are in the neighborhood then take some time to get a bit to eat or drink in one of the amazing cafés, restaurants or bars, because while a night on the town in Monte Carlo may cost more than the average weekly wage, it doesn't hurt quite so much to enjoy the wonderful setting and high end cuisine.
Fabulously rich and happy to flaunt it, Monte Carlo is indulgent, flashy, stylish in a way that is rare anywhere on earth. High end in the rarified districts of Monaco, it’s bound to make an impression one way or another.
