Gunung Mulu National Park Information

Mulu National Park is is located near Miri in Sarawak, and is accessible only by air via Mulu. This remote park is famous for containing a series of massive cave formations that stagger the mind with their dimensions.

The Sarawak chamber is the largest known natural chamber in the world and is a stunning 400 metres wide, 700 metres long and 70 metres high. It would be capable of containing 40 Jumbo Jets.

The Rainfall discovery walkway winds through the tropical park enables visitors and provides easy access to Deer cave, another spectacular cave which is noted for the river that flows through it. It is said to be a passage that would be able to fit 5 cathedrals the size of London's St Pauls inside.

The Mulu Skywalk canopy is 480 meters long and is the longest tree based canopy in the world. It provides visitors with an exciting but safe way to get close to the rainforest and the animals that inhabit it.

In the evening millions of bats exit the caves providing an amazing spectacle of nature in full flight.
