Chongdong Theatre Information

Located close to the Deoksugung Palace in the heart of Seoul, the Chongdong Theatre is helping to keep traditional Korean Performance alive and well. Each year the theatre showcases a different show which incorporates many authentic Korean arts. Included in this is Pansori (Korean native song), Samulnori (Korean percussion quartet) and Buchaechum (Traditional fan dance).


The theatre is relatively intimate with a capacity of 2000 and bookings are encouraged. The shows are well set up for international visitors with subtitles appearing throughout the performance in various languages. Following the shows guest are encouraged to join the performers on stage adding to the unique experience.
