Wexford is located on the South East coast of Ireland alongside Kilkenny and Waterford, south of Dublin. It is very accessible from Dublin has a beautiful coastline and many historic sites and some great villages and towns.
Perhaps the best known feature of the county is the coastine, there is well over a hundred kilometres of unspoiled sandy beaches including Duncannon, Rosslare and Curracloe. The South East Coastal drive is a lovely way to spend a day and meander along the coast stopping along the way. Inland, there are mountains and fish filled rivers flowing down green valleys. Enniscorthy, New Ross and Wexford Town itself are charming and historic and visitors interested in history will enjoy the Dunbrody Heritage Ship in New Ross.
Wexford has plenty to see and do, a historic past and many options for accommodation, eating out and entertainment. It has been a favourite of Dubliners for generations and the rest of the world is beginning to discover why.
