The picturesque townland of Ferrycarrig is located 4km outside of Wexford Town. Ferrycarrig is home to the Irish National Heritage Park, a heritage trail, covering 35 acres, taking the visitor through 9000 years of Irish history. Along the paths are the 14 sites which show how early man, the Celts, Vikings and Normans, lived and how Irish society developed. At the end of the tour there are magnificent views of the River Slaney and it's estuary.
