The weather is hot throughout the year in India with variations in each region. The country has three seasons, Summer, Monsoon and Winter. Cooler months are from December to February and hotter months are generally from March to June. Monsoon rain typically occurs between June and early October. The best time to visit India is during the cooler months between December to mid February.
The Western Himalayas: Srinagar is beautiful from March to October with warm and sunny weather however July to August is generally cold and damp.
