Beside the contrasting valleys of the Rhine, Danube and Neckar rivers, Lake Constance, one of the largest German lakes gleams against the panoramic backdrop of the Alps.
Its well-known attractions include the flower island of Mainau, the island of Reichenau (a UNESCO world heritage site), the town of Constance, the Zeppelin museum and prehistoric buildings on stilts.
