Poole Information

World renowned for its award winning beaches, beautiful harbour, sailing and the pottery that bears the name of the town, Poole is fast becoming known as the St Tropez of the south coast. Lying between the New Forest and the Purbeck Hills, the harbour enjoys five unique islands, fabulous scenery, wonderful wildlife and exhilarating watersports.

With five kilometres of safe, clean, sandy beaches including the world famous Sandbanks, winner of fourteen European Blue Flags, Poole is the ideal place to relax in luxurious surroundings.

Much of the town's history is visible on the quay, one of Poole's major tourist attractions. The exciting Cockle Trail guides visitors around the old town's mix of Georgian and medieval buildings bringing to life Poole's romantic seafaring and trading history.

Poole has a wide selection of fabulous restaurants, catering for every taste. It is well provided with amenities, including covered shopping centres, an arts centre, several museums, four indoor sports centres and the Tower Park complex which includes a 10 screen cinema, ten pin bowling and a fun pool. Alfresco dining with fabulous harbour views add to Poole's lively continental atmosphere.
