Visas are not required for stays of up to 30 days (and in some cases for up to 6 months) for visitors from the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, or European Union counties. Passports of all visitors must be valid beyond the period of stay in the Caymans and proof of sufficient funds and a return or onward ticket are also required for entry.
There is a KYD 20 (US$25) departure tax for visitors leaving the Cayman Islands - however transit passengers continuing their journey within 24 hours and children under 12 years old are exempt. This fee is often included in the cost of airline tickets however.
