Jasper Information

Surrounded by soaring Rocky Mountain peaks and lush valleys the township of Jasper has a population of just 5,000 residents and a few elk.  This UNESCO World Heritage site is a natural corridor to a large range of Canadian wildlife.  It’s common to see Big Horn Sheep, Mountain Goats, Deer and Elk in the surrounding valleys when they’re out grazing in their natural playground.  The quaint township of Jasper offers international cuisine, quirky shops, quaint inns, rustic cabins, luxurious lodges and endless opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts.

Hike in 1200 kilometers of back country trails; be amazed by the magnitude of the Columbia Icefield and Maligne Canyon; marvel at the splendor of the spectacular Icefield Parkway; catch the scenic boat cruise to discover Spirit Island or take to the waterways by canoe or kayak on the many lakes located within Jasper National Park.  In winter, the Park offers world class skiing on awe inspiring mountain terrain at Marmot Basin.
