Curramulka is a small farming community that comes alive on the first Saturday of December every year. This year it is on Saturday 5 December 2009, with the official turning on of the town's Christmas lights.

The festivities commence with a parade at 5.45pm at the Town Oval, with various hot food and drink outlets. Come visit Father Christmas in the ‘Curry Cave’ and have your photo taken for a small fee of AUD5.00. Sit down and relax with tea, coffee and biscuits while being entertained until the turning on the lights at 8.45pm. Walk or drive around the town and see the spectacular light displays.
After Light Up Night the Christmas lights will be on in Curramulka every night until New Years Eve.
