On 6 August Minlaton National Trust have organised a re-enactment of the historic first air mail delivery by Captain Harry Butler in 1919. Planes will arrive from Adelaide and visitors will travel into town in vintage vehicles. Special guests include Dick Smith and Graham Hancock, National Trust SA.
The program for the 90th Anniversary Celebration is:
8.30am Air mail leaves Adelaide.
10.30-11am Air Mail arrives in Minlaton.
12 noon Speeches at Red Devil.
12.30pm Barbecue lunch available.
2pm National Trust Museum open.
5.30pm Dinner at Minlaton Town Hall.
7pm “The Life of Captain Harry Butler AFC” by Les Parsons and Dr Sam Battams.
9pm Tea and Coffee.
