‘A’ class driver’s licence is all you need to skipper.
On board are pillows, doonas, linen, a galley kitchen including crockery, cutlery, cookware, full-size fridge/freezer and hotplate, First-Aid kit.
You need to bring food and drinks, towels, fishing gear, sunscreen, repellent, binoculars, your choice of music and videos and your swim wear. Remember your camera as there are lots of picture opportunities.
Wildlife is plentiful on the river, including a pod of dolphins who have made the Hardy Inlet their home. These playful mammals have started swimming and leaping around the houseboat.
Tariffs range from AUD150 to AUD400 per night per boat with two night minimum, or from AUD600 per weekend.
