Mt Buller is becoming one of the most popular skiing destinations in Australia only 150kms from Melbourne. An average snow fall of 1.5metres makes conditions great for those who wish to take to the slopes. When the snow levels are low the snow making machines are fired up to get things moving again.
25 ski lifts service the snow fields and can move up to 40,000 people per hour. There's usually only about 10,000 people on the fields at any one time so visitors can count on short queues when moving around the mountain. Lots of ski trails are spread out over 180 hectares, the longest is two and a half kilometres.
