Built in the 1860's by a timber feller & carpenter, 1860 was deconstructed piece by piece and moved from Taggerty to Beechworth to save it from the ravages of time & weather.

It was rebuilt using traditional methods to maintain the integrity and historic value of the building.

1860 is an authentic Australian mountain hut converted into luxury accommodation. It is truly unique. Take a five minute stroll into Beechworth to enjoy renowned restaurants, great coffee, shopping and boutique wines.
