If they did they'd discover lovely little spots like the Surman Family's' Wild Dog Winery. Established in 1982 Wild Dog Winery and vineyard is one of the oldest and largest in Gippsland with total plantings now exceeding 30 acres. The winery and vineyard is located only 3km south of Warragul in one of Victoria's most beautiful areas, West Gippsland, just over an hour drive from Melbourne via the Princes Freeway. With stunning views of the Strzelecki Ranges combined with picturesque Vineyard and Olive plantation scenery from the Cellar Door, Wild Dog Winery makes for the perfect place to relax and enjoy our range of Award Winning cool climate wines. Try our reasonably priced "Fun Dog" range inc Red Dog, (Cabernet blend) White Dog (unwooded Chardonnay) and Dancing Dog (slightly sweet Chardonnay) along with our Award Winning "Estate" range wines available for free tastings at the cellar door. We have Music and Theatre entertainment during the year, including Shakespeare in the Vines each February and "Hair of the Dog" in March. Local gourmet produce is available at the cellar door.
