The tour travels to a diversity of habitats within the Tropical North Queensland region which support a unique assemblage of flora and fauna, and contain the highest amounts of biological diversity and endemism within Australia. 54 vertebrate species are unique to the region, including 13 species of birds, five species of possums and two species of tree kangaroos. The charismatic Platypus is found throughout most of the regions freshwater wetlands.

Bird Watching; over half of Australia's bird species have been recorded within the tropical North Queensland region. Nocturnal Wildlife 'Spotlighting'; 12 species of possums, tree-kangaroos, bandicoots, owls, frogmouths, wallabies, frogs; platypus viewing; Lumholtz's Tree-kangaroo and Bennett's Tree-kangaroo viewing.
