Ashmore Cottage is a beautifully restored, 1830s property. Furnished in period style the property features an open fireplace in the living room, deep claw foot bath and antique iron bed. Surrounded by English-style cottage gardens, Ashmore cottage is enclosed by a quaint picket fence and is located right in Richmond village.

Richmond is famous for its Georgian architecture. Take a stroll to see the town’s many colonial buildings including Richmond Gaol, the Court House St John’s Church and Richmond Bridge - Australia's oldest. Richmond is located in the Coal River Valley, one of Tasmania's wine-producing areas. You can take a drive through the countryside and taste some of Tasmania’s fine cool climate wines at the cellar door.
