ANIMAL ENCOUNTERS/WANDERING WILDLIFE
Check it out! Australia Zoo offers unique opportunities to get hands-on with all kinds of wildlife! You can waddle with a wombat, cuddle a koala, hold a baby alligator, kiss a dingo, take a turn with a Tasmanian Devil, tickle a giant land tortoise and more! You can even take a walk with a tiger or cheetah and go behind the scenes at a working animal hospital!
Roving animals are a star attraction at Australia Zoo, with Australia Zoo's Rovers enabling you to get up real close with some of our wandering wildlife including cockatoos, iguanas, wombats and koalas!
You also have the chance to feed our beautiful elephant girls with FREE elephant feeding at 10:30am or 3:00pm everyday. With each elephant able to eat about 200 kilograms of food every day, you're guaranteed to get in on the action! If that is not enough, you can also feed our kangaroos with 'Roo Food' on sale at the Kid's Zoo and on Steve's Safari Shuttles.
There is plenty of fun for the kids with Australia Zoo's 'Kid's Zoo', a place for little kids and big kids to get up close and cuddly with baby farm animals such as adorable little lambs and calves and cheeky little piglets!
Roving photographers are on hand to take photos of these great experiences, taking photos of our visitors with the roving animals and at Elephant feeds.
