During the Winter season, Spencers Creek is a popular destination, especially for cross country skiers. The area is known as being a bit of a challenge due to North Westerly winds which howl up the valley. Skiers be careful though, because there are no specific trails marked in this wild area.

During the summer, Spencers Creek is a location of rolling green hills and crisp cool air. Hop across the creek itself by balancing on step stones. Like much of the Snowy Mountains the warmer months in this part are just as pleasurable as when it is covered in snow. Flowers bloom in the wild and animals come out from their hiding places.
