Stenhouse Bay Information

Stenhouse Bay is a stunning section of Innes national park where you can whale watch from the cliff tops during the winter months.

Walk along the many inland or coastal trails. Discover the Thomson/Pfitzner Plaster Trail from Stenhouse Bay to historic Inneston village and the old woodcutters trails, or investigate the Royston Head coastal trail.

A wide variety of fish species can be caught off beaches in the park or the Stenhouse Bay Jetty. Fish in secluded locations like Stenhouse Bay, or join other anglers on the salmon run at Browns Beach. Fishing guides are available from the Visitors Centre.

The Stenhouse Bay Hall provides bunk-style accommodation for up to 30 people with toilets, showers, day area and kitchen facilities, and is available for group bookings only. Contact the Visitor Centre for further information.

In close proximity to the beach, Visitor Centre, Innes Park Trading Post and Jetty; Stenhouse Bay Campground is a great location to set up a base camp for exploring the rest of the park as caravans and generators are permitted. Pit toilets and barbecue facilities available nearby.
