The brand New Spirit of Hervey Bay, being launched in June 2008, is a first, 24 metre ocean going catamaran which offers you the ultimate chance to see the mighty humpback whales closer than you ever thought possible. With five levels of viewing decks, you have the freedom of walking around the Spirit and discovering the many fantastic vantage points to see the whale antics from every angle.

Ever wanted to come face to face with a mighty humpback whale? Aboard the Spirit you get the chance with the special feature of underwater viewing windows. These windows are located below the waterline in each hull of the boat. Experiences the thrills of having a whale eyeball you through these windows; it will take your breath away. Their curious nature beckons them to swim alongside the vessels windows and have a peek inside. Are we watching them? Or are they watching us? Watch in amazement as they swim back and forth beneath the boat as though toying with the passengers. Experience the sheer size as they roll and wallow, wrestle and breach with Fraser Island as their backdrop.
