Perth Information

The capital of WA is situated in a picture postcard setting on the banks of the magnificent Swan River, and offers great weather at all times of the year. The city of Perth enjoys an enviable lifestyle where enjoyment of nature, the outdoors and beach are central themes.

Perth has all of the great attractions you would expect in a big city, theatres, restaurants and museums. Free buses make it a breeze to get around to all the city attractions, including the Perth Mint. If you are in need of retail therapy, check out King Street of just take a stroll through Kings Park. After dark Northbridge is the centre of the nightlife with heaps of bars and nightclubs.

The Perth coastline has around 80 kilometres of beaches perfect for surfing, swimming, snorkelling, or of course just relaxing. Cottesloe is the most popular, with it's distinctive Norfolk pines, pubs and cafés. Scarborough's is the most popular for surfing and there is plenty of nightlife there too whihc attracts a big young crowd. Sorrento Beach has calmer safer waters and is a good choice for families. A ferry ride to Rottnest Island is a must while visiting Perth, it's a long time favourite of the locals who enjoy the beautiful beaches and great swimming and snorkelling or do a spot of fishing.

For a burst of fresh air, hire a bike and take to the cycle paths and footpaths that run alongside the beautiful Swan River. In fact, paths extend along the entire Perth coastline so you can enjoy great views of the sea and then cool off with a dip in the ocean at one of the many beautiful Perth beaches
