Silver Ridge Retreat

Silver Ridge is situated on the slope of majestic Mount Roland, surrounded by wilderness, yet less than 10 minutes from Sheffield the "Town of Murals".

Central to Cradle Mountain National Park, Mole Creek Caves and Wildlife Park, and Lake Barrington rowing course.

The only noise here is the peaceful sound of birds and running water.

Relax in a comfortable modern timber cottage, fully equipped and with a cosy wood heater for cool winter nights. The cottages have well equipped kitchens.

There are magnificent views in every direction, a heated indoor pool to enjoy and peaceful easy walks on the farm.

For the more adventurous, explore the fire and logging tracks on the lower slopes or chose one of the established routes to the top of Mount Roland and marvel, with the wedge tailed eagles, at views from Devonport harbour to Cradle Mountain.

Our 1870's Silver Mine is well preserved, with stalactites, cave spiders and glow-worms - why not ask for a tour?

Pony rides are available on the property and longer more challenging rides can be arranged in the area.

The picturesque and well-maintained 9-hole golf course at Sheffield welcomes visitors.

After dinner join our spotlighting excursion into the bush, to meet the native animals in their environment and on a clear night marvel at the unpolluted starry sky. You could even get lucky and see the aurora dancing over the southern mountains.
