Mount Meharry is the highest mountain in Western Australia (1245 metres 445 foot). Located in the Pilbara Region approximately 135 kilometres from Wittenoom and 160 kilometres from Tom Price, located just before approaching the Hamersley Range National Park heading north from Perth. Access to Mount Meharry is through Juna Downs Station and therefore the station owners should be notified prior to entry.
The country is very rugged and we recommend only experienced four wheel drive drivers to attempt the drive, then continuing the journey on foot. The ranger must be informed if anyone is to head out to Mount Meharry, for safety reasons due to the vastness of the surrounding countryside.
