The Cossack Art Award is open to established and emerging artists Australia wide. Being an acquisitive art award, the sponsor of a particular category acquires the piece chosen as the winning entry for that category. Such is the high standard of entries, many of the category winners now adorn the walls of Australian corporate boardrooms.

So popular has the exhibition become, it has featured the works of some of Australia's most celebrated artists including Ken Done, Pro Hart, Robert Juniper, Jack Absalom, John Borrack, Wim Boissevain, Bevan Pooraar-Hayward.

Awards Night in the Old Bond Store built in 1894, is one of the most eagerly-awaited events on the Pilbara social calendar, but due to its popularity admission is restricted to invited guests only however, the art exhibition is on public display for a month after the gala presentation.

The cultural experience offered through the Cossack Art Award is enjoyed by thousands of people who visit Cossack each year for a glimpse of Western Australian history as they experience the ambience of a bygone era.

The exhibition is open to the public at the Bond Store, Cossack. Admission is free.
