Noosa Heads Information
Noosa is a little piece of paradise: a cosmopolitan resort town packed with excellent restaurants, stylish shops, great fishing and beautiful surroundings in which to swim, dive, surf and walk. Hastings Street is the bustling boutique street of Noosa – the centre for shopping, dining and a spot of socialising – all within a stone's throw of the main beach. Heading west, riverfront holiday homes give way to the magical Everglades region – a system of mysterious dark waterways, crystal lakes, golden beaches, sand dunes and rocky headlands. Noosa's food trail won't disappoint: farms, farmers' markets, speciality stores, restaurants and country pubs ensure the best of the region's diverse produce are seasonally showcased. To the west of Noosa is the beautiful Hinterland, scattered with charming villages such as Montville and Eumundi, home to the famous Eumundi Markets where, hundreds of stalls and entertainers transform the sleepy mountain town into a colourful and bustling mecca for enthusiastic shoppers. National parks are also a Noosa speciality with stunning headland walks in Noosa National Park just a few steps from Hastings Street, and the windswept wilderness of the North Shore just a boat ride away, accessing the spectacular southern stretches of Great Sandy National Park and stretching 60 kilometres to the serene coloured sands of Rainbow Beach.
