When visitors to Sydney Opera House come out from behind the camera, you can discover so much more. In just over three decades Sydney Opera House has evolved into one of the world’s busiest performing arts centres catering to all tastes and budgets – from opera and ballet right through to comedy, physical theatre and cabaret! Guided tours are a great way to see inside this amazing building and the restaurants, cafes and bars offer snacks to five star dining, with magnificent views of the harbour.

The Sydney Opera House Tour:

Venture beneath the white sails and let our guides take you on a fascinating journey through the extraordinary history, breathtaking architecture and the unseen workings of daily life inside one of the most famous buildings in the world.

A one hour guided tour costs  per person,  concession and includes complimentary tea or coffee. Tours operate daily every half an hour between 9am and 5pm. Tours depart from the Guided Tours Office on the Lower Concourse in the SOH Store.

Backstage Tour:

See where the magic is made, an early start beckons with the new Backstage tour exploring behind the scenes at Sydney Opera House. See the Opera Theatre scenery dock, the Orchestra Pit, stand on the stage in either the Concert Hall or the Opera Theatre, and walk past rehearsal rooms and dressing rooms.

The Backstage tour costs ` per person, runs every day at 7am and takes 2 hours, including a light breakfast in the Greenroom (where staff, technicians and performers mingle during breaks).
