In the final, tension-filled seconds before midnight on December 31, Sydney becomes the New Year's Eve capital of the world - a billion eyes focus on the natural amphitheatre that is Sydney Harbour and its magnificent centre-piece, the steel arched Sydney Harbour Bridge, as, on the stroke of midnight, a fireworks display like no other heralds in the New Year.
For the 1.2 million people gathered around Sydney Harbour these Midnight Fireworks are the culmination of 12 hours of countdown and celebration.
Pre show entertainment starts from 1.00pm and activities intensify at sunset with the Indigenous Smoking Ceremony and Family Fireworks at 9.00pm, followed by the magical Harbour of Light Parade.
There are vantage points around the Harbour or get in quick to book your place on board one of the vessels taking part in the Harbour of Light Parade, where you will not only enjoy a front row seat for the fireworks but also uninterrupted views of all the action throughout the night.
You can also tune into Network Ten at 8.30pm to 9.30pm and 11.30pm to 12.30am for the exclusive live coverage of the 9.00pm & Midnight fireworks' broadcasts - the best seat in the house!
Or if you are out and about tune your radio to 104.1 2DayFM for the exclusive live broadcast of the fireworks' soundtrack at 9.00pm and Midnight.
