This park presents sandstone scenery on a grand scale. To the north, Fitzroy Falls and Belmore Falls plunge
off the plateau into rainforest gullies. To the south, Pigeon House Mountain and Little Forest Plateau offer
great views of the coastline and the Budawang and Ettrema wilderness areas. There are opportunities for
extensive remote-area bushwalking from a number of locations. Backpack camping more than 1 kilometre
from roads is permitted throughout most of the park. Car-based and limited caravan camping, with
facilities such as hot showers, barbecues and a network of walking and cycle tracks is provided at
Bundanoon, on the north-western side of the park (bookings essential and fees apply: phone 4887 7270).
Morton National Park features spectacular waterfalls, such as Tianjara Falls in the south and Belmore and
Fitzroy Falls in the north. Information on the park is available at the magnificent Fitzroy Falls Visitor Centre,
located at the waterfall. The centre also offers a cafe, education room, souvenir shop and timber boardwalks
to the falls and lookouts. Picnic facilities are also located at Fitzroy Falls and Belmore Falls. Fitzroy Falls Visitor
Centre is open 7 days a week. Park use fees apply only at Fitzroy Falls.
150kms south-west of Sydney, Fitzroy Falls is 17kms east of Moss Vale, on Nowra Road; Bundanoon is 17kms
south of Moss Vale, on Penrose Road. Access to the southern end of the park is via Milton/Ulladulla on the
eastern side or Goulburn/Braidwood on the western side. Access to Tianjara Falls is from Nowra.
Priors Scenic Express runs a daily coach service from Parramatta Railway Station to Ulladulla and Bateman's
Bay via Fitzroy Falls, Kangaroo Valley and Nowra (phone 1800 816 234). Kennedy's Buses runs a daily service from Moss Vale Railway Station to Nowra via Fitzroy Falls (phone 02 4423 5990). Trains from Central Railway Station to Bundanoon run several times daily (phone Countrylink on 13 22 32).
