Medlow Bath Information

The location here of Brown's sawmill saw the first railway platform open as Brown's Siding in 1880. Three years later, in 1883, the name was changed to Medlow. The name Medlow has two possible origins; the first being derived from Megalong, an aboriginal name meaning 'valley below the cliffs'. The second is from a small town in the north of England near Brixton, called Medlow.
