Locally owned and operated in picturesque Sorrento on the Mornington Peninsula, Rip Charters was established in 1986 and is celebrating its 25th year servicing the Peninsula and its many visitors, making them the leaders in Charter Fishing in Victoria!

We are fishing all year round and our speciality is following the seasons to suit the best catch of the day. Troll for salmon or try casting for some Big Red Snapper. Anyone can do it. Or if it is the big ones you are after, our ocean swells are home to sharks such as Mako, Blue Whaler and Threshers. Whiting, squid and various other reef fish are common amongst our catch, the variety will astound you.

Our boats, Big Blue and Kestrel III are specially furbished for your comfort and safety. They are designed and rigged for fishing and fully covered for all weather conditions to ensure your fishing experience is uninterrupted by sun or rain. We carry all the necessary fish finding, navigational, communication and safety equipment. All you need to bring along is some food and drink, appropriate clothing, sunblock and your fishing license.

Charters operate from Sorrento Pier, The Esplanade, Sorrento or pick up can be made from Queenscliff or Portsea piers upon arrangement. Trips can be organised from four to ten hrs (standard charter is five hours) with the added bonus of catering packages for those special social events. Individuals, groups, or social clubs are welcome.

Either of our vessels can be hired privately for such occasions as: corporate groups, social clubs, birthday parties, sunset cruises and Hens/Bucks Parties. All rods, reels, bait and tackle supplied. Fish will be cleaned and bagged for your convenience, ready to cook up on the BBQ.
