Event Dates: Saturday 5th of October 2013 to Sunday 6th of October 2013
Colour, bush scents, flowers and foliage... it will all be at the 31st Pomonal Native Flower Show on the first weekend of October on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th from 9.30 am until 5.00 pm..
The members of the Australian Plants Society Grampians Group will present nearly 400 individually named specimens of native flowers from across Australia, all grown in their own gardens. The display, held in the tiny town of Pomonal just 10 minutes from Halls Gap, will fill the local hall to bursting point and hundreds and hundreds of gardening enthusiasts from all over Victoria and beyond will flock to the show.
This year the APS members will make a special display of the marvellous Myrtaceae family and visitors will be able to see a wonderful variety of Darwinias, Chamelauciums, Thryptomene, Eucalyptus, Beaufortias, Melaleucas and more.
There will be a huge range of interesting, rare, collectable and hardy native plants for sale. There will also be gardening, natural history and botanical books, botanical art sales and refreshments.
A day or weekend visit to the Grampians on the first weekend in October will be very rewarding, with an inspiring flower show for your enjoyment and a feast of wild flowers awakening in the glorious Grampians.
