Eco-Luxe @ Mount Avoca opened in 2009 and offers luxury and tranquillity in the heart of the Pyrenees.

Three almost identical lodges high above the vines on the edge of the olive grove overlook the vineyards, mountains and valleys of the Pyrenees.

Each lodge provides a king-size bed with million dollar views, a self-contained kitchenette and living area with an enormous travertine lined bathroom with spa. Feel the stress roll off and the peace and quiet engulf you as you enter your own sanctuary.

An ideal launching pad to discover local wineries, scenic walks and secret historic sites, or just kick back and relax and enjoy peace and quiet.

The LUXURIOUS

Architecturally designed; a large living area with kitchenette opens onto a balcony with views of the Pyrenees Ranges. Wall to wall windows offer postcard views from both the bedroom and living room.

The bathroom is on a decadent scale and features a shower, spa-bath and shines with natural light. Floor to ceiling Italian stone envelopes this utterly relaxing space.

The polished spotted gum floor leads to the fully carpeted bedroom for the perfect end to the perfect day.

The ECOLOGICAL

Architecturally designed to maximise passive heating and cooling, eco-friendly materials have been used wherever possible to minimise the carbon foot-print.

No cement used - cement is incredibly environmentally unfriendly, it produces 8per cent of all CO2 emissions world wide and it is not recyclable.

The cladding is native Australian Cypress pine from managed plantations and is naturally resistant to termites and rot.

The floors are native Australian spotted gum. We have placed passive solar heat banks at the foot of the living and bed room windows. These large slabs of bluestone, mined locally in Portland are designed to capture the heat of the day and re-radiate it during the night.

Each lodge collects its own watertank and is self-sufficient.
