Recently refurbished Possum Cottage is a charming, comfortable and secluded hide-away, situated on the quiet side of Lake Daylesford. Views of Wombat Hill and the lake are framed by tall gum trees, native birds call the garden home, and a pet kookaburra might be watching as guests find walking tracks below the house.

Plan to enjoy a sunny breakfast on the barbecue deck, there's always plenty of reading material to get lost in, curl up in front of a wood fire in winter or arrange for an in-house mobile massage.

Possum Cottage is only a three minute stroll to the famous Central Springs area and a ten minute walk into town.

Guests can expect ducted heating, TV/DVD, iPod CD player, full kitchen facilities, all linen, air-conditioning, two bathrooms and laundry. There will always be fresh garden flowers on occasional tables, suggestions for local activities and personal recommendations for massage or eating out.

Operating for over eighteen years the cottage appeals to families, couples and groups of girls up to six. The interiors are an eclectic mix of collected and contemporary pieces, the style is somewhere between modern country and shabby chic - not too precious but loads of comfort.

The Possum garden continues to evolve with terracing and paved pathways, a new outdoor area with built-in barbecue facilities takes advantage of a sunny and private garden vista.

Charmingly many guests want to make Possum Cottage their own, but at this point in their lives the owners like the idea of sharing a little piece of heaven with as many visitors as possible - you're welcome to join the crowd.
