Coniston Information

Coniston is a predominantly residential area; Mount Saint Thomas is thought to be named after the maiden name of the wife of Captain Charles Waldron. Significant development occurred during the post-war years, aided by immigration. The population has been relatively stable sine the early 1990's, a result of some new dwellings being added, but a decline in the average number of persons living in each dwelling.
