For those wanting the ultimate beach camping experience, why not stay at Main Beach Camping Grounds on North Stradbroke Island with its stunning white sandy beaches, just perfect for swimming, surfing and just relaxing.

Situated along the eastern coast, enjoy 35 kilometres of golden sanded, sub-tropical, Pacific Ocean beach whilst camping under the Southern Cross. Fish from the beach at your camp site or just watch the annual whale migration. Find your own slice of freedom under a shady tree. Camping in one of the 300 unallocated camping sites seven kilometres south of the causeway.

These campsites are accessible by four wheel drive vehicles only, so if you decide to pitch your tent on the beach, remember a four wheel drive permit is essential. It is advisable to check your tide times and permit conditions when travelling on Main Beach.
