Barossa Information

Arguably Australia's most commercially important wine region, the Barossa Valley, just an hour's drive from Adelaide, offers more than 50 cellar doors, a fine selection of regional fare, pretty countryside and heritage townships.

However there’s a lot more to the Barossa than the wines it’s justifiably famous for. There’s some magnificent country to cruise through on the butcher, baker, winemaker trail. There are some wonderful restaurants and local produce, best sampled with well, any number of great local wines. There are many wonderful cellar doors with experts waiting to show you the secrets of wine making itself. There are events a plenty with, bargains, culture, food and wine.

The region’s rich history is on show, including some spectacular old wineries. Oh, and did we mention the wine? There’s a reason why it’s loved the world over. And just an hour’s drive from Adelaide, you can easily fall in love with the region it comes from.
