Aruba does not have much food that is grown locally, however there is a large variety on offer in the local cuisine. There is a wide range of international cuisine together with well known fast-food chains available on the island.

National specialities include: Keshi yena (Gouda cheese packed with a spicy meat mixture); Stoba (lamb or goat stew); Cala (bean fritters); Pastechi (meat or cheese stuffed turnovers); and Ayacas (leaf-wrapped meat rolls).
